About the Program
At CORE ASSIST we provide fun and exciting learning experiences where every participant will have many opportunities to develop, extend and learn life and social skills needed to live a fulfilling and more independent life.
The focus of this Sports Program is to get better mental and physical health, find ways to sleep, create social links and improve community participation, build up skills and independence, assist in establishing objectives and confidence, promote a sense of belonging and acceptance.

Get Fit & Build New Skills
CORE ASSIST has developed a great Sports program for 2024 in which participants will experience, challenge themselves and partake in numerous exercises and activities to increase their awareness of the importance of keeping fit, being part of a team and building relationships. These important skills required to function effectively in the community.
Be Part of a Team
Through these experiences we hope they will gain the confidence, commitment and most importantly the independence all while enjoying the activities and building stronger relationships and interpersonal skills.
Qualified Instructors
The Sports program is run by a qualified instructors with a knowledge and understanding of exercise and what activity suits each person. The participants will learn different skills needed to maintain an active, fun, and physically healthy lifestyle.
Why join the Fitness Program?
Each Term the participants will have an opportunity to participate in different athletics activities with a focus on CORE strength and building their physical fitness. Through the activities the participants will experience situations where they will learn skill or utilise skills regarding team building, good communication, cooperation and coordination.
At the end of the term, the participants will have the opportunity to be the instructors and teach our younger participants what they have learnt.

Class Timetable
The Cooking Program will run for 8 weeks including the excursion. Commencing Thursday May 2nd and ends on Thursday June 27th. All activities will run from 4:30pm -7:30pm. Cost of the Program is funded under NDIS.
